What you need

Equipment

- Mixing bowl
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- Airtight container
- Toothbrush (soft)

Ingredients

- 1 heaped tablespoon coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons bicarb soda

Method:

Step 1: Place 1 heaped tablespoon of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of bicarb soda into a mixing bowl and mix till combined.

Step 2: Place a small thin layer on the toothbrush and you are ready to brush. Add water if necessary to help with brushing. Brush your dog's teeth gently in a circular motion.

Step 3: Transfer remaining toothpaste into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

Tip! Why not try adding parsley as it contains chlorophyll, which helps to neutralise bad breath in dogs (fresh is best but will reduce shelf life of your toothpaste).

Check your dog's teeth regularly.
