About

Goat meat is a rich source of complete protein for our pets and contains several essential amino acids that must be obtained through diet to maintain our pet’s health.
Threonine is one of these amino acids, essential for energy production. Goat is also one of the richest known sources of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA’s) leucine, isoleucine, and valine. These BCAA’s are involved in the synthesis of muscle proteins, important in healthy growth and muscle repair through life.
Methionine is another essential amino acid found in goat meat. Methionine is used in the synthesis of keratin, a major protein needed for hair and skin health. The need for keratin can account for up to 30% of dietary protein requirements.
Goat also contains higher amounts of arginine than other red meats such as beef and lamb. Arginine has an important role in growth, protein metabolism, cardiovascular function and the balance of hormones in the body.
In addition to being a source of complete protein for dogs, goat meat is a lean protein option for dogs who require a lower fat diet.
As a red meat, goat is rich in important vitamins and minerals including B2, B12 and  iron. Goat meat is also a good dietary source of zinc and potassium.
Goat is a novel protein for dogs and great for assisting in the dietary management of allergies and sensitivities.
